Mission:
At Impact Recovery, our mission is to provide individualized, supportive, and compassionate care to those who are suffering from an addiction. Our team members believe in treating each client’s underlying core problems to help them heal spiritually, mentally, and physically. We strive to instill the tools needed to achieve and sustain long-term recovery.
Vision:
At Impact Recovery, we strongly believe that each of our clients have an unique journey to recovery. As a result, we work with our clients to discover their own path by taking a holistic approach that focuses on mind, body, and spirit. It is our passion to guide our clients in finding their “true authentic self”- to disconnect from their inner-critic and reconnect with their inner-wisdom by quieting their mind and becoming the observer of "self".
Coaching:
Impact Recovery coaches have their own personal journey through addiction that not only allows them to relate to our clients, but also empathize with the challenges that they face in recovery. They bring nonjudgmental acceptance along with compassionate inquiry to their approach and are trained to meet the client "where they're at” in their recovery process.
Relapse prevention is our top priority. Our coaches teach the 4 D's of relapse prevention, which are Delay, Distract, Deep-Breathing and De-catasrophizing. This classic relapse prevention technique assists in mitigating potential for the client to relapse.
Structure is incredibly important when relapse prevention is considered. Therefore, morning, daily and evening routines are created where each client is held accountable to their recovery schedule and program.
The time after a one to one or group therapy session can be difficult for those in recovery. This is a time where additional support can be desired. As a result, our client's schedule include the availability of their coach for post-session processing.
The Transition back into the client's environment can trigger past emotions that can lead to relapse. Therefore, our coaches implement a plan that includes levels of exposure therapy such that the client is slowly reintroduced into their living environment. This includes, not only preparation for the physical environment but also with each individual in the client's life. The concept, "people, places and things" is taught and applied to the client's overall living environment.
With the transition complete, our coaches urge the client to set appropriate boundaries in order to protect their sobriety and hold them accountable for the commitments that they make to change. With new tools and learned skills, the client's sobriety is sustainable and long-term recovery is possible.
